MY NAP NEEDS A WINNER AND RUNS AT YARMOUTH ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON!

Yarmouth 3.30 Air To Air (7/4)

Progressive form last season winning twice and capped off the season with a big run in defeat beaten just a neck at Windsor; can go well fresh and no surprise to see him improve again; one to keep on side.

I was a big fan of George Boughey’s AIR TO AIR last year and I like the idea that he has been given a fair bit of time to develop and mature. There could easily be further improvement to come and given we know he goes well fresh he could be up to making a winning return at Yarmouth on Friday. He had a tendency to break slowly so if that has been ironed out he will definitely be winning more races this season. The danger is Tamaska for David O’Meara. He has already struck a couple of times this season and hasn’t fared badly in defeat since. He is a good yardstick who should chase the favourite home. Spirited Guest disappointed at Newmarket last time but has at least won at this track.

Doncaster 4.30 Hurt You Never (9/4)

Improving filly who caught the eye at Redcar and confirmed that promise to open her account at Carlisle last month, running on well; fared best of those held up when second at Nottingham; can resume her progress.

Everything went right for Devon Envoy at Nottingham last time so I still think it was a good effort from HURT YOU NEVER in defeat. She was given a lot to do by Laura Coughlan and was keeping on well at the finish but the winner had flown. She is off the same mark here and should be able to resume her progress with a 5lb claimer booked again. Eruption looks the danger as she won at Musselburgh back in April and has knocked on the door the last twice only beaten a couple of lengths over C&D last time. She is still yet to truly convince over 6f though and might prove vulnerable late on again. Cheese The One was down the field on return but should at least be fitter now. Needs to prove it on turf.
