Sea The Stars colt who won despite inexperience on debut at Chepstow and then followed up impressively at Redcar under a penalty last month; more to come now handicapping and potentially Group class.
I’ll be in attendance at Ascot on Friday and I’m looking forward to seeing SEA THE CASPER for Simon and Ed Crisford. This 3yo has won both starts to date despite looking a little rough around the edges and seeing as that Redcar form has already been franked by the fifth Chillingham he should be capable of defying an opening mark of 92 for handicap debut. He has the potential to be a Group horse in a handicap so fingers crossed he can remain unbeaten here. Big Meeting has also won his last two and looks the main danger to the selection. He is up 3lb for that short head victory at Lingfield but the feeling is he will need to find more to follow up. First Ruler also has to be respected in opposition.

Chester 7.00 Box To Box (11/4)
Progressive form in recent starts making it 2 wins from his last 3 over shorter here last month, needing every yard; open to further improvement stepping up to a mile and a half for the first time; worth keeping on side.
We was with BOX TO BOX here at Chester last time and with this step up in trip a catalyst for further improvement he looks a good bet to make it 3 wins from his last 4 starts. He is up 4lb but is still improving so looks capable of defying that small rise. Haunted Dream wasn’t disgraced when third at Pontefract last time and looks the main danger to the selection. Group One Power doesn’t always put it all in but he did finish a good second at Windsor last month so if he builds on that he might not be far away either. Praiano was down the field at Salisbury on return but he should at least strip fitter now. He still has a bit to prove though as ran poorly at York before the break as well.
