MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT BELMONT PARK ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Race 5 Belmont Park 8.03 Gasoline (9/4)
Promising colt who has improved with each start and was only beaten a length last time showing a good attitude in defeat; can build on that and looks to have a good opportunity to make the breakthrough now.
The US NAP was scratched last night so hopefully we can get it back on track tonight. We are going to head to Belmont Park where GASOLINE can open his account. He caught the eye on second start and again improved to go close last time. With further progression he should get the better of these rivals. Making It is quite a big price as she ran well last time and with more experience under her belt should be winning races. It’s just a case that she might be bumping into one here. Cloud Forest showed promise on debut too and will improve but likely has a fair bit to find with the selection who has already had 3 starts and should be a lot more streetwise here. 9/4 looks a decent bet at the prices.

Race 7 Woodbine 9.15 Swirling Candy (5/2)
Likeable mare who won twice at Gulfstream to cap off her last campaign; returned from a monster layoff to go close last time, beaten just three quarters of a length; sure to improve from that and hard to oppose now.
With the cobwebs blown away SWIRLING CANDY can get herself back in the winners enclosure at Woodbine tonight. She returned from a 424 day layoff to go down less than a length last time and with usual improvement should take an awful lot of beating here. Dancing Doll beat Take It Easy over 5f here on turf last time so looks the obvious danger but she is short enough in the betting and I think the selection has greater potential. My Final Trick was behind the selection last time and looks a huge price. May well be worth a saver but it’s a shame we only have the 2 places up for grabs. Take It Easy has form that ties in with Dancing Doll so has ground to make up on that to get involved.
