MY US NAP IS STILL CHASING A FIVE-TIMER ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 4 Thistledown 7.20 Morestride (11/10)

Improving colt who has won 3 of his last 4 now and showed a good attitude to get on top late here last month; more to come for sure and this easier if anything so comfortably looks the one to beat again; keep on side.

The US NAP was scratched late last night so we’re still looking to make it FIVE IN A ROW on Thursday night as we head to Thistledown. The likeable MORESTRIDE can make it 4 wins from his last 5. Now this colt is improving all the time and that was a good performance last time. His defeat on penultimate start came in a $100K event so back in these calmer waters he really should have too much for them. This is even easier than last time where he won convincingly in the end. Totellyouthetruth is the danger having been beaten just 2 lengths last time. Mister Mobil is also worth noting as he arrives in winning form but he lacks the potential of the selection having already been gelded.

Race 7 Belterra Park 8.29 Zebra Cake (11/10)

Promising filly who won head in chest over C&D on penultimate start before excuses last time; happy to put a line through that and given time since; hard to oppose if bouncing back; will likely prove really hard to beat.

Great chance for ZEBRA CAKE to bounce back! She ran no sort of race last time and something was clearly amiss for me. Her win prior to that over track and trip was impressive and given she is open to improvement I think she’ll have way too much for these rivals. No real danger if she brings her best form but perhaps Seaport Storm will be the one to chase her home. She has been poor the last twice so needs to raise her game but her form from last season would have her in the mix at the business end. Quiet Dawn blew out on turf last time but didn’t run badly albeit getting tired late on here back in May. Smokin Hot Bobbie is respected on her penultimate run as well.
