MY US NAP WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT SARATOGA ON SUNDAY NIGHT!

Race 9 Saratoga 10.39 Sound Money (6/5)

Promising colt who improved to win a good race at Aqueduct back in April and acquitted himself well in defeat up to graded company the last twice, likely clocking a career best last time; hard to beat if he improves again.

This looks a great chance for SOUND MONEY to get himself back in the winners enclosure. He finished second to Jackie’s Warrior in a Grade 2 at Belmont last month and that is a standout piece of form in here. These are much calmer waters and I’ll be surprised if he is beaten. Fortin Hill was second at Belmont when last seen back in May but he is still unexposed despite being a 6yo so if he finds further progression he could emerge as the main danger to the favourite. Supremacy impressed to win by a head at Oaklawn before chasing home Southern District last time. If he gets a soft lead he could be dangerous too but I think he might face some competition which will definitely help the selection.

Race 9 Monmouth Park 9.15 One Timer (5/4)

Promising sort who won head in chest last time and now won 4 from 5 starts; open to further improvement switching back to turf now and expected to have too many gears for these especially if he goes off the front.

I’m looking forward to seeing ONE TIMER on turf at Monmouth Park tonight. He is a promising horse who has won 4 of his 5 starts to date. He hacked up on reappearance last time and with more to come really should be winning this. I think we’ll see him in graded company soon. Classicstateofmind won last time but this is tougher and while he can improve I think he’ll struggle to lay a glove on this favourite. That’s Right is on a hat-trick after winning well the last twice but again this is a marked step up in grade and he may well be found out. Grooms All Bizness has only had the 4 starts but he didn’t find much off the bridle when only fifth last time and that would have to be worrying.
