Good looking sort who left previous form behind to make a winning handicap debut up to a mile and a quarter for the first time at Brighton last week; notably strong at the finish so hard to beat now the penny has dropped.
Sir Mark Prescott has his horses in great form right now and he is usually a trainer to keep on side when riding hot so EAGLE’S WAY can make it 2-2 in handicaps at Doncaster on Thursday. He still looked rough around the edge before staying on strongly at Brighton and even carrying a 6lb penalty I rate him the one to beat here. I’m surprised he isn’t favourite as while Shimmering Sands was equally as impressive last time that was in easier company than this and he has a bit to prove up to a Class 5 now. The pair should have in between them as they are both improving. Fiftyshadesaresdev has had a wind op going up in trip but still needs to find more to spring an upset.

Yarmouth 4.20 Commandment (11/4)
Promising filly who improved a fair bit to go down just a short head at Newmarket last month, narrowly failing to get up; justified strong support to win at Pontefract since and with more to come is sure to go close.
Spangled Mac is chasing a four-timer and will likely prove popular here but he carries a 12lb penalty and comes back in trip which might not prove ideal. I really like the chances of COMMANDMENT for Ed Dunlop. This filly is on the upgrade judging by that Newmarket run where she narrowly failed to get up. That was a really solid run on the clock and she has won a Classified race at Pontefract since to confirm that promise. She can keep progressing and for me deserves to be favourite here. Papa Cocktail was blinkered for the first time at Epsom last time but he disappointed so they have taken that off here. He has enough to prove even though he is well bred being by Churchill.
