MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT INDIANA ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 5 Horseshoe Indiana 9.15 Unbridled Beast (6/4)

Tough sort who was back to his best under aggressive tactics here earlier this month, finding plenty off the bridle; up in grade but won at a much higher level in the past so expected to prove tough to beat again.

The US NAP was disappointing last night so hopefully we can bounce back tonight. We head to Indiana where UNBRIDLED BEAST can follow up. He impressed here last time and on his old form he is very much the one to beat once more. I think he’ll go forward again and if he gets into a decent rhythm off the front he is unlikely to come back to them. El Bohemio won on reappearance but blew out last time and this is tougher so he is hard to recommend. Hopped Up was behind Seminole Justice last time but he has beaten that horse before and if reversing that might be the one to emerge as the main danger to the favourite. Barefootbootlegger is respected on that penultimate effort.

Race 8 Penn National 2.10 Melodious Singer (7/4)

Promising filly who won impressively over C&D on penultimate start and while she failed to back that up last time she is a lot better than that; freshened up since and likely to go hard off the front and not come back.

I’m happy to put a line through that last run as I know MELODIOUS SINGER is a lot better than that. She won impressively on her penultimate start and if bouncing back should win this easily. Stormy Spell has been out of form since winning over C&D but again this is weak so if bouncing back might be the one to chase home the favourite. Cuckoo Forcononuts has some solid form especially for this level and that third came in a better race than this so she is definitely respected. Splendor Gal was behind the selection on penultimate start but you wouldn’t rule her out in terms of hitting the frame at a nice price. Silent Fluidity won last time but has ground to make up with the selection.
