MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT THISTLEDOWN ON TUESDAY NIGHT!
Race 8 Thistledown 9.20 Kissthecross (6/5)
Promising filly who very much caught the eye finishing runner-up on debut over track and trip last month; ran green when asked to close on the winner; front pair pulled well clear from the rest; can go one better now.
I’m confident that initial experience won’t have been lost on KISSTHECROSS and if she improves the rest will be playing catch-up here. She pulled readily clear with the winner last time and that looked a really encouraging run. There is no obvious pace on so I think she’ll go forward and look to make all. Seeking The Money is probably the danger but she has already had plenty of opportunities to shed the maiden-tag and that would have to be concerning. Crimson Legion has only had 3 starts but was behind the selection on penultimate start so already has enough to find. I’m Jac’d was behind Seeking The Money so it’s hard to see her finding enough to spring an upset here.
NB – Second best selection of the day
MY US NEXT BEST RUNS IN RACE 7 AT FINGER LAKES ON TUESDAY NIGHT!
Race 7 Finger Lakes 8.52 Beta (11/8)
Likeable type who won fresh again over C&D on return last month and improved again to follow up impressively up in trip last time; back down to 6f now and can keep improving so good chance of landing the hat-trick.
Hard to look past BETA eyeing up the hat-trick at Finger Lakes tonight. He won easily on return despite having a contested lead early and backed that up impressively stepping back up to a mile last time. Back down to 6f he is hard to get away from as he looks to have a nice blend of speed and stamina. The danger is likely Dream Bigger who won 3 starts back and was only beaten three-quarters of a length last time. First Deputy was behind Lettercarrierhenry last time but can reverse that form tonight and perhaps ask one or two questions of the fav maybe without being good enough. Tommy The Torch was in front of Little Maddy Brown on return and might be capable of confirming that form.
