Exciting sprinter who made it 2 wins from 4 starts with an impressive turn of foot at Sandown last time, only having to be shaken up to go away from them; second to Little Big Bear reads really well too; hard to oppose.
I can’t wait to see ROCKET RODNEY at Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday. George Scott’s speedball has looked extremely promising having gone down just a neck to Little Big Bear in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot before quickening away impressively to win a Listed race at Sandown last time. He won over this C&D too on just his second start and that would have to be a big positive given this track can catch 2yos out. He looks to be improving all the time and this represents a good opportunity for him to make his mark at group level. He holds Eddie’s Boy on two runs so the betting has it right that Wallbank is the danger. He ran well in the Norfolk and with more to come should finish second.

Glorious Goodwood 4.45 The Platinum Queen (11/8)
Promising filly who won despite showing signs of inexperience on debut at Ripon last month; slowly into stride and could never land a blow in the Queen Mary; stepped forward again to bolt up at York; the one to beat.
This test should be right up the street of THE PLATINUM QUEEN and I think she can make it 3 wins from just 4 starts here for Richard Fahey. While she was never a factor in the Queen Mary the experience clearly wasn’t lost on her given the manner of her York romp last time. She is clearly on an upward trajectory now and with potential to do better again she could have too much for these rivals. She raced quite freely last time but that didn’t stop her winning and I think if they go hard she’ll just be poised in the box seat. Star Of Lady M is likeable and bounced back to win at Musselburgh so looks the biggest danger if building on that. All The Time is also noted with the promise of more to come now.
