MY US NAP WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT SARATOGA ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Saratoga 10.05 O’gotten Girl (1/1)

Promising filly who looked to need the run on return at Belmont at the start of the month, given a bump early; dropped markedly in grade here back on dirt now and should take all the beating if bringing her best form.

Back down in grade it is hard to look past O’GOTTEN GIRL at Saratoga tonight. She is still a promising filly and I’m happy to put a line through that reappearance run where nothing went right. These are much calmer waters and she should prove the class act in the field. Unlock impressed winning on just her second start before blowing out last time but if bouncing back looks most likely to chase the favourite home. Preposterous won impressively on her third start before blowing out the last twice. If she rediscovers some form she might be involved for a place but again hard to see her troubling the favourite especially if she brings her best. This looks a really winnable race.

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Keeping Score (11/8)

Tough sort who deserved to get his head in front last time, drawing off impressively in the end; more to offer yet and looks to have found a good opportunity to go and follow up; definitely the most likely winner here.

This might not take much winning so I think that makes KEEPING SCORE a standout. He bolted up last month and a repeat of that would see him have too much for these rivals. The Gospel Of Mark didn’t run badly when third last time and has placed on 2 of his last 3 runs now so looks most likely to chase the selection home. Does find it tough to win though so vulnerable from that point of view you’d imagine. Racin’ Jacin was third last time finishing well but was beaten nearly 10 lengths so is also quite hard to recommend in terms of springing an upset here but likely be fighting it out for second in behind the selection. Hard to recommend anything else in here as it looks desperately weak.
