NAP – Best selection of the evening

MY US NAP WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 6 AT MONMOUTH PARK ON MONDAY!

Race 6 Monmouth Park 9.17 Friendly Fella (7/4)

Tough sort who was back to his best shaking them off and powering clear to win by 9 lengths here last month; back up in grade but won at this level before and will be hard to beat if reproducing that sort of form.

Nice double banked last night so hopefully I can add a couple more winners to start a new week. I’m going to head to Monmouth Park where FRIENDLY FELLA can follow up. He hacked up by 9 lengths here last month and while this is a step back up in grade he has won at this level in the past so now he is back in form I expect him to take a lot of pegging back. He is the most obvious pace angle in the race and has clocked the best sectionals recently so will be hard to beat. Pointer was only beaten 2 lengths last time so looks the danger. He is an 8yo now though and hasn’t won for over a year now. Both negatives. Awesome Launch was thrashed last time and needs to bounce back.

Race 9 Philadelphia 9.31 Miss Dillingham (15/8)

Likeable mare who drew off impressively to complete the hat-trick here back in June; couldn’t get on the lead last time so had excuses; if she gets on the speed tonight she will be hard to peg back; most likely winner.

With 6 wins from her last 9 starts the likeable MISS DILLINGHAM can prove too strong here. She is at her best when going forward and if she gets the lead here she will take a lot of pegging back. Flashing Diamond had it all go her way when beating the selection last time but she has been held by her in the past and might struggle to confirm that tonight. Sweet Willemina won by 8 lengths last time but this definitely has more strength in depth so she’ll need to find more. Tomarie is held by the latter but does have some strong form in the book in the past and might be a bit of value to hit the frame if she brings her best form. Hard to really see much else getting involved.
