NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT MONMOUTH PARK ON MONDAY NIGHT!
Race 7 Monmouth Park 9.45 Pianzi (13/8)
Likeable type who came from well off the pace to win impressively at Philadelphia last month; should get a good pace to run down here and hard to oppose in his current form; looks sure to go close again.
I’m sticking with last time out winner PIANZI to go in again at Monmouth Park tonight. He rattled home to win at Philadelphia last time and even back up in grade he looks to have found a good opportunity to follow up. Pogi has won 2 of his last 3 so has to be respected but this does look to have a bit more strength in depth so he might need to improve again to win this. Dr. Doyle also brings winning form to the table but with a fair bit of competition on for the speed this might pan out to suit those coming from off the pace. Counterfeitcurency kicked clear to win over track and trip last time but again there is plenty of early pace on so this won’t pan out as favourably I don’t think.

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Swindle (7/4)
Tough mare who was back in the winners enclosure last month, hitting the line strong; taken on early last time but better than that; this easier and should be able to dictate so obvious chance to take this out.
I liked the way SWINDLE won here last month and if you can put a line through that last run she should prove tough to beat tonight. She will push forward early and I don’t think she’ll come back to them if she gets it all her own way up top. Biscayne Bay won 3 starts back but has been heavily beaten the last twice and needs to bounce back to lay a glove on the selection. Kist beat the latter 3 starts back but she has also suffered two defeats since and never got dangerous last time. Double D’s Revenge actually finished in front of the selection earlier in the season and might be one at a bigger price to hit the frame. Surprised she has been completely ignored in the betting in a weak race.
