Couldn’t have been much more impressive winning head in chest at Ayr again at the weekend; looks at the top of his game now and hard to get away from as he bids to bring up the hat-trick; leading claims.
With 3 wins from his last 4 starts the bookies look to have made a howler opening WATER OF LEITH at 15/8? He won so easily last time despite being a step slow into stride again. He won over 5f on penultimate start so the drop back to the minimum doesn’t bother me. He is just cruising into his races now and looks to have cracked this racing game. I’ll be very surprised if he is beaten here. Ventura Flame won over C&D in May and has been back to form the last twice. She could run well but I think as long as the selection doesn’t lose too much ground at the start she won’t be able to hold him off late. Indian Sounds is on a lengthy losing run but didn’t run too badly from a bad draw at York last time.

Chelmsford 5.20 Wrought Iron (3/1)
Likeable grey who has won 2 of his last 4 starts and given he has sprinters in his pedigree this drop back to the minimum might see him improve again; happy to keep on the right side of him for now anyway.
I like the chances of WROUGHT IRON here especially at 3/1. I admit it is quite competitive but if the drop back to the minimum helps this time around he could prove really tough to beat. Saffie Osborne has ridden him to both those recent wins and replaces Nicola Currie claiming a handy 3lb which has to be a positive. Imperial Khan didn’t look an easy ride last time and I’m surprised he is so short for this following that effort as I marked him down as one to avoid for now. Mary Of Modena is the likely danger as she has won 2 of her last 3 and wasn’t disgraced when third at Windsor last time. Like the selection she might have more to offer so they will likely battle this one out.
