MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT COLONIAL DOWNS ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 5 Colonial Downs 8.37 Heldish (5/4)

Promising colt who made a bright start winning with plenty in hand on debut last month; sure to improve from that initial effort and no surprise to see him go and make all again here; one to keep on side.

The US NAP rattled the crossbar last night so hopefully I can get it back to winning ways tonight. I’m going to go to Colonial Downs where debutant winner HELDISH created a big impression. He is sure to improve and looks well placed to make it a perfect 2-2. He was sharp into stride and was always dictating and it could be a similar story here. Simply Super also made a winning debut but his weaknesses have been exploited since finishing down the field in tougher company since. Could be the danger in these calmer waters. Grand Escape also made a winning start but has already been gelded so his potential might be capped in comparison to the selection.

Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Tivis (11/8)

Likeable filly who made a winning return to bring up the hat-trick back in April; held her form well in defeat since and went down just a neck last time looking a bit unlucky; can resume her progress here.

Big chance for TIVIS to get herself back in the winners enclosure. She came rattling home last time and only just failed to get there at the line. That’s good form with Front Circle and she had Aunt Bee held back in third so can confirm that tonight. The latter might be the one to finish second as she is unexposed and that was a return to form having been highly tried prior to that. Lexy Anna has been a little frustrating recently but on her old form she would have a squeak albeit held by the selection when they met last season. Wine Me Up Baby won going away last time and has won 2 of her last 4 but this is definitely tougher so she is going to need to find more to spring an upset here.
