NAP – My best tip of the day
Sandown 3.42 Safari Dream (10/3)
Promising colt who held his own in the Super Sprint at Newbury before improving again to make a winning handicap debut over C&D last month; impressed with how he quickened clear; yard won this last year too.
After such a good run the NAP has gone a couple of days without a win so hopefully I can get it back firing on Sunday. I’m going to head to Sandown where recent C&D winner SAFARI DREAM looks a good bet to follow up. He ran out an impressive winner over track and trip last month and with further improvement I think he should be able to follow up here. He really opened up late and I thought it was a decent performance. The yard won this with Amazonian Dream last year so they usually target it with one of their better yardsticks. The hat-trick seeking Miss Attitude is the obvious danger as she has impressed recently too. She is up 10lb though which looks a little harsh to me.

Sandown 5.42 After The Rain (7/2)
Likeable filly who looked progressive winning 3 in a row including a gutsy performance at Ascot back in May; bumped into Amanzoe and Meleri here last time, that solid form; could resume her progress with Precisely now out.
With Precisely a non runner I’m going to put forward AFTER THE RAIN as a replacement in the same race for the NB. She was improving with experience before finding some good horses too strong here last time. I still think she could be open to further progression and with Precisely now out this looks winnable. Spirit Of The Bay is favourite but she hasn’t won for a while and she might end up hitting the crossbar again here. Follow That Star has been backed and ran well when second to New Heights here last time. I’m not convinced by her overall profile though and I certainly wouldn’t have her shorter than the new selection. The rest have enough to find including Typical Woman.
