Sandown 3.42

After such a good run the NAP has gone a couple of days without a win so hopefully I can get it back firing on Sunday. I’m going to head to Sandown where recent C&D winner SAFARI DREAM looks a good bet to follow up. He ran out an impressive winner over track and trip last month and with further improvement I think he should be able to follow up here. He really opened up late and I thought it was a decent performance. The yard won this with Amazonian Dream last year so they usually target it with one of their better yardsticks.

The hat-trick seeking Miss Attitude is the obvious danger as she has impressed recently too. She is up 10lb though which looks a little harsh to me. Rocking Ends has won 2 of his last 3 but might need more off a mark of 81 on handicap debut.

Sandown 4.12

In wide open sprint handicaps it is worth going with something each way and Cable Bay filly GLAMOROUS BREEZE looks a solid bet at the prices. Her form reads 232121 and she is never far away. She is improving steadily and will give a bold showing here again. She travels so strongly so should be able to lay up with them throughout and then it is just a case of William Cox not getting there too soon as she can pull herself up when she gets in front. Worth chancing at around 15/2 though.

Rambuso Creek looks overpriced to me as his win at Thirsk following a wind op was promising and his neck defeat at Pontefract also catches the eye. He failed to give his running last time but it might be worth putting a line through that. Edward Cornelius and Treacherous complete the shortlist.

Sandown 4.42

The money has been relentless for Kingman colt CITY OF KINGS for Charlie Appleby. He obviously looks the part on paper having cost 350,000 guineas as a yearling. His dam has plenty of stamina in it and he has been hooded for debut. I think as long as they keep a lid on him going down to start he should have a big chance of making a winning debut here under Jack Mitchell.

The yard also saddle Tabaretta and that is who Buick rides. He is a Dubawi colt who cost €650,000 as a yearling. He is a half-brother to 3 winners and is clearly going to have a bright future as well but the betting is suggesting to some extent he might need this. Of those at bigger odds Elwasme is by Cracksman and is well related so might run a nice race and could snatch a place.

Sandown 5.12

Despite it being a maximum 17 runner field I don’t think the race is that deep and ANDALEEP looks to have a great chance of landing the hat-trick. He went close here earlier in the season and arrives in the form of his life. He has won easily at Windsor and Beverley and has only been raised 5lb here. He is the one to beat if turning up in the same form once more.

Pledge Of Honour is also on a hat-trick and has to be the main danger after beating the selection earlier in the season. There isn’t a lot between the two but I like the progress the selection has made and he is a bigger price at the time of writing.

Sandown 5.42

Given Gaius has won at Windsor and Lasting Legacy has won at Wolves since a 4lb rise doesn’t look enough to anchor PRECISELY here. She is eyeing up a hat-trick and is clearly a mare at the top of her game right now. She is back slightly in trip but that shouldn’t bother her given how strongly she travels. I think she is by far and away the most likely winner and I’m surprised she isn’t clear favourite for this at the time of writing.

After The Rain looks the danger as she won 3 in a row before bumping into Amanzoe and Meleri last time. That is obviously good form so she should give the selection most to think about. Spirit Of The Bay is consistent and she shouldn’t be far away either.

Sandown 6.12

I am surprised recent course and distance winner ISLAND BANDIT is such a big price for this race. He won here last time out and arrives on hat-trick. He was put up 2lb but is actually better off at the weights with Gina Mangan claiming 5lb and I think he has a great chance.

Ikhtiraaq is the likely favourite as he probably has plenty more to come after winning his last two at a mile. Of the rest Helm Rock should be thereabouts if in the same form as his recent runs.

Sandown 6.42

There has been plenty of money for Evaluation and it’s easy to see why given he won 4 in a row before finishing fourth in the Northumberland Vase behind Zoffee when last seen. Freshened up since he will go well but no juice in his price. I’m chancing DUKE OF VERONA at 16/1. This 4yo showed a great attitude to prevail at Sandown last month and while he was down the field at Kempton last time I thought he had excuses so given he is 1-1 here he could easily outrun his odds.

Aggagio is on a hat-trick and has actually won 4 of his last 5 now but I think he is at his best with a bit of cut in the ground and the surface will likely be riding pretty quick here. Could still run well though so not entirely dismissed and has drifted somewhat in the market now.
