NAP – My best tip of the day
Lingfield 2.10 Heartbreak Lass (13/8)
Cotai Glory filly who ran on strongly once she realised what was required on debut at Windsor, beaten less than 2 lengths into second; sure to know more this time around and if she improves she should win this.
I thought there was lots to like about the way HEARTBREAK LASS finished her race on debut and if she puts that experience to good use I think this is a good opportunity for her to open her account. She was a step slow into stride that day and as a result was anchored in last. She travelled well into it but conceded first run so by the time she picked up the winner was home and hosed. Rich Rhythm looks a nice enough prospect for Ralph Beckett so I expect the form to work out in time. She should improve and if she does that will likely be enough to get the better of Alfred Cove. The latter ran to a decent level when second at Hamilton but the form has been knocked slightly since and he’s already gelded.

Kempton 7.30 Whimsy (4/1)
Charming Thought filly who showed a great attitude to open her account at Salisbury last month and then backed that up to win impressively on handicap debut last time, firmly in control; good chance to make all.
The progressive WHIMSY looks great value at 4/1 to bring up the hat-trick at Kempton on Tuesday night. She showed a good attitude to win at Salisbury and then relished the step up to this trip last time on handicap debut, winning easily in the end. She could get a soft lead here and if she dictates they might not see which way she goes. She is up 5lb but the way she won last time that won’t be enough to stop her going in again. East End Girl travelled strongly to win at Newcastle and she is only up 3lb so looks the obvious danger but I’m surprised she is as short as she is in the betting as I wouldn’t have much between them and the selection in my book has greater potential and is a much bigger price.
