MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 11 AT SARATOGA ON MONDAY NIGHT!
Race 11 Saratoga 11.11 Gulfport (13/8)
Progressive colt who won his first two starts really impressively before acquitting himself well in defeat to finish second in a Grade 2 last time; more to come yet and comfortably looks the one to beat tonight.
My tips are back Stateside tonight after a Sunday off and GULFPORT looks a colt to stick with at Saratoga tonight. He was his first two starts in the style of a really promising horse and finished a good second in a better grade than this last month. He has scope for further improvement after just the 3 starts and looks to have the most potential in this field. The biggest danger is likely Forte as despite being behind Mo Strike last time he had excuses I felt and his debut win was very promising. If he bounces back he should go well. Mo Strike also has to be respected as he is 2-2 but this is definitely tougher up against the selection. Bourbon Bash won by 8 lengths last time so deserves a crack at this too.
NB – Second best selection of the day
MY US NEXT BEST RUNS IN RACE 7 AT FORT ERIE ON MONDAY NIGHT!
Race 7 Fort Erie 8.53 Dance To The Beach (2/1)
Gutsy filly who is a perfect 3-3 after showing a good attitude to beat Classy Mistress over 6f here last time; can improve again and extra half furlong only going to help given how strong she has been at the finish.
Another good race and I’m looking forward to seeing DANCE TO THE BEACH as she bids to make it a perfect 4-4 tonight. She finished strongly again last time and has plenty in her favour once more here. Given Classy Mistress only went down a neck last time she is the danger again. She is exposed but consistent so even having been beaten twice since then she has to be respected. Hold The Applause also has experience on side and only went down a length last time but has ground to make up with Jara here. Dreaminofpassion was denied a hat-trick last time but she is another one that might show up well for a long way here but likely vulnerable late on hopefully to the selection who will close up late.
