Doncaster 1.25
This is a tough start to the action on ITV Racing on Thursday but hopefully BONNY ANGEL will go close. This filly by Harry Angel won on nursery debut at Leicester 3 weeks ago just getting the better of Lily In The Jungle. She is up 5lb but looks a nice type and should improve so at around 9/2 looks a decent bet against these.
Misty Blues was a very good second at York last time and up 3lb looks the biggest danger in the field. Palm Lily made a winning start but was poor in the Princess Margaret. Still early days though so might run well at a fairly big price.
Doncaster 2.00
A really open race with a solid favourite in Cold Case but I have a feeling MAGICAL SUNSET could be a Group level filly. She won really nicely at Windsor on debut pulling well clear with the horse in second. The horse in second Sakheer won like a very good horse a few days ago. She should step forward for that run at Windsor and run a massive race here.
Cold Case has already ran well in Group company behind Noble Style and a repeat of that run would see him as the main danger. LEGEND OF XANADU gets plenty of weight in this race and handles softer conditions so will likely go well at a bigger price.
Epsom 2.15
The Jump Jockeys try their hand on the Flat here so it’s a tricky race to try and work out. Narrow preference is for DERRY LAD even though he is favourite at the time of writing. Aidan Coleman gets the leg up and he has been in good form winning at Sligo in May and then finishing third at Ballinrobe before going down just a length at the Curragh. He has been freshened up likely for this and looks sure to run his race.
Thibault won at Chepstow and then was a good second over C&D last time so looks the danger but might just be tapped for toe again. Rozalia is a tough mare and she looks best of the rest but not a race to go mad in by any means.
Doncaster 2.35
The May Hill usually has a few stars lurking, whilst I am not sure any of these will be as good as Inspiral who won it last year DANCE IN THE GRASS could be a classy filly though. She is unbeaten after two nice wins at Sandown, the latest coming at Listed level. She is clearly still learning and I wouldn’t be surprised if she improved a fair bit more here and is the one to beat on form and the clock.
Frankness has won both starts at Chester since finishing third on debut and looks the obvious danger. Ferrari Queen could be overpriced after her unbeaten run came to an end against Victory Dance last month.
Doncaster 3.10
I think there are plenty of doubts over those at the head of the betting here so it might be worth taking a chance on RIVER OF STARS for Ralph Beckett. This Sea The Stars filly has won her last two at Lingfield and Chester and is clearly improving with experience. She made all last time and off the front here she might just take a bit of catching. I get the impression there is a fair bit more under the bonnet yet.
Eshaada looked to lack tactical speed when beaten by Free Wind at Haydock and for me needs more especially at a short price. Yesyes was fourth to Sea La Rosa at Goodwood and that probably entitles her to be fav for this but again she didn’t exactly hit the line with much conviction.
Doncaster 3.45
As with most of these handicaps at festivals you have to try and spot the Group horse in the field. ZAINALARAB could potentially be a Group level horse based on how easily he won his last 3 races. He has had clever rides each time to keep the winning margins down so he can’t be raised too much by the handicapper. He wins going away each time and off a mark of 88 he is the one they have to beat.
Spirit Of Nguru wasn’t disgraced at Goodwood and he should still have more to come so might be the danger. Billyb continues to run well and that second at Thirsk last time is hard to knock again so at a bigger price I expect him to be giving his all as well and might be worth backing to hit the frame here.

A busy afternoon on ITV Racing so I have included a Lucky 15 (just for my ITV selections). I’d only need a couple of winners to make some profit. Pays 250/1!
