NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 9 AT KENTUCKY DOWNS ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 9 Kentucky Downs 10.57 Sharp Aza Tack (1/1)
Improving colt who made a bright start winning on debut and followed up impressively last time to make it a perfect 2-2; further progress to come and looks a horse to keep firmly on side; big chance of the hat-trick.
I’m surprised SHARP AZA TACK isn’t odds-on here. He has looked a smart horse in the making and was way too good for them last time. He won by over 7 lengths and with further improvement to come should bring up the hat-trick. Half A Chance improved to win at Saratoga but this looks tougher and she needs to back that up returned to turf here. Still has a bright future no doubt. Private Creed won on debut but struggled up in grade when third last time so might not be far away but he’ll need more to live with the selection you’d think. Fadethenoise won by 6 lengths second-up but failed to back that up last time and has ground to make up with Private Creed on that form anyway.

Race 8 Delaware Park 9.00 Intrepid Daydream (11/8)
Progressive filly who left her debut run behind to win head in chest second-up and then made a winning return drawing clear by 10 lengths over track and trip last month; hard to oppose with the promise of more to come.
Another confident selection tonight in INTREPID DAYDREAM at Delaware. This filly is 2 from 3 and has won impressively the last twice most recently over track and trip. She looks destined for bigger and better things in time and should have this field covered. She will keep improving and is a filly to keep firmly on side. Rather Nosy brought up a hat-trick of wins before finishing third and then fourth when last seen. Given time since but will need to hit the ground running to upset the selection here. Plane Drunk has been thereabouts recently and might not be far away again but she’ll likely need a career best to trouble this favourite. Sequin Lady best of the rest but definitely needs to improve.
