Friday’s Best Tips
NEED A NAP WINNER! Racing on Friday from Newbury, Ayr, Newton Abbot, Downpatrick, Kempton and Dundalk. Daily Double pays 12/1!
NAP – My best tip of the day
Ayr 2.35 Bolt Action (9/4)
Promising colt who beat New Definition impressively on debut and has some really strong form to his name in defeat since; only missed by a neck to Shouldvebeenaring at Ripon and will prove hard to beat here.
This looks a great chance for BOLT ACTION to get himself back in the winners enclosure. This is a horse that was only beaten 4 lengths by Little Big Bear in the Windsor Castle and has since performed creditably in defeat. He was a close-up third to Rumstar at Goodwood and then only went down 2 lengths behind Treasure Trove at York. He got within a neck of success at Ripon last time finishing second to Shouldvebeenaring and sets a good standard here. He can still improve himself after just a handful of starts and I expect him to justify favouritism. Kerindia won on debut as well and has run well in defeat since a lot like the selection. She was beaten 2 lengths in France last time and looks the danger.
NB – My Next or second best tip of the day
MY NEXT BEST IS STILL CHASING A DOUBLE AND RUNS AT NEWBURY ON FRIDAY!
Newbury 4.35 Mahrajaan (3/1)
Good looking sort who got within a neck of success when second at Newmarket and then finished an excellent third in a fiercely competitive handicap at York last month; still has a fair bit of potential; will go close.
I think Jim Crowley gave MAHRAJAAN a bit too much to do at York last time but even still he ran on well and it was a big effort in defeat. He still has potential off this mark and in a smaller field he will likely be finishing best. Torcello and Berkshire Rebel should kick on so it’s unlikely to turn tactical which is a big plus. Sam Cooke was rewarded for his consistency to win at Newmarket and looks the biggest danger off a small rise. Wandering Rocks was weak in the betting at Kempton but ran well to finish third especially given as the race wasn’t run to suit so he looks best of the rest. Knight Of Honour was expected to do better at Sandown and will need the step back up in trip to help him bounce back.
