MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT FINGER LAKES ON MONDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Finger Lakes 8.25 Sportini (1/1)

Promising colt who has won 2 of his last 3 and looks on an upward trajectory now; surged clear late last time having swooped from off the pace; can improve again and looks the one they all have to beat here.

Great chance for the likeable SPORTINI to make it 3 wins from his last 4. He has looked progressive in recent starts and really picked up well last time to power away. He was nicely settled off the pace and made rapid headway inside the final furlong to win well at the line. There is plenty of pace on again here and he should be finishing best of all. Out Of Tune is the likeable danger having won on penultimate start. He was disappointing last time though fading back late on. If he bounces back he could be the danger but needs more. You’ve Got Male won last time but this looks a tougher race. Bowing Snowman ran well when second to Smokin’ Alone and if building on that is also noted in opposition.

Race 5 Thistledown 7.50 Chillin Lady (13/8)

Tough mare who had no problem bringing up the hat-trick over C&D last month making it 4 wins from her last 5 as well; clearly at the top of her game and had main market rival Mambo Dancer held in second.

I’m struggling to look past CHILLIN LADY at Thistledown tonight. She is at the top of her game right now and that win back in July where she went clear by over 10 lengths was mightily impressive. She has won twice more since then and is hard to pick holes in at this level. She beat Mambo Dancer comfortably last time and can confirm that form here. The latter is probably still the one most likely to chase her home. Talkback recorded a couple of decent wins before finishing third last time. That came in better company than this so she shouldn’t be overlooked either. Lucky Quarters arrives in winning form having shown a good attitude to prevail last time but will need more up against these better horses.
