NAP – My best tip of the day

MY NAP OBVIOUSLY NEEDS A WINNER AND RUNS AT NEWMARKET ON THURSDAY!

Newmarket 4.45 Yantarni (best price 10/11)

Promising son of Dubawi who made a winning handicap debut on the July course last month, hitting the line hard; looks ahead of his mark with further improvement to come and fully expected to follow up here.

Even at the time of writing the price is collapsing on YANTARNI and it’s easy to see why. This well bred 3yo made a successful handicap debut on the July course here last month and looks firmly on the upgrade now. He is almost certain to improve again and a mark of 85 surely underestimates him? I know he will probably go off short but given the run for the NAP I just want to try and find a winner right now. Sunrise Valley needs to do better but obviously connections will still be hopeful she can at some point. May well be the one to chase him home. Red Kite won going away last time but will find it harder here and is up against a fair bit of potential in the selection.

Chelmsford 7.15 All Go (best price 11/8)

Likeable filly who deserved to get her head in front at Southwell last month, always doing enough in the run to the line; goes handicapping now off a mark of just 69 so with further progress should follow up.

Great chance for ALL GO to follow up and make a winning handicap debut. She won nicely last time and I’d be surprised if there isn’t further improvement to come. A mark of just 69 shouldn’t be too taxing and I think she can take advantage of that in what looks a winnable race as well. Finery should strip fitter here and has won over track and trip so could be one of the dangers. Nordhalla blew out somewhat last time and has a bit to prove off the back of that. Shifter was a filly on my radar but she has been disappointing lately and also comes here with a point to prove now which is enough to sway me towards the selection. No surprise to see her top the market for this.
