NAP – My best tip of the day
Lingfield 2.10 Khamsin Lady (best price 7/4)
Bated Breath filly who needed the experience on debut and then bumped into Crystal Caprice at Yarmouth; kept digging in when a good second over C&D last month; more to come yet so this looks a good chance.
Given the calibre of horse KHAMSIN LADY has bumped into the last twice I expect this filly by Bated Breath to take a lot of beating in this winnable maiden. She is improving with experience and knuckled down well up the inside last time. She should come forward again from that run over C&D and is understandably favourite for this. A E Housman showed promise again when third at Kempton last time but didn’t exactly hit the line with much conviction and I think is vulnerable here. Mashaaer has plenty of experience on side but at the same time she has already spurned some good opportunities and might struggle to contain an improver again here. Rose Light looks to be best of the rest.

Warwick 1.50 Sophosc (best price 7/4)
Likeable type on the Flat who did well to overcome trouble on hurdles debut swerving a faller to win at Plumpton back in May; won again on the level since; good chance he can improve again to make it 2-2 over timber.
Never easy defying a penalty but I thought SOPHOSC was a stylish winner on hurdles debut at Plumpton and with further improvement on the cards he is well placed to go 2-2. He was impeded by a faller on that occasion but did well to regain momentum and stay on strongly at the finish. He clearly has an engine which was well advertised back on the Flat at Southwell last time. If he steps forward again he will be hard to stop. Allbetsoff was running well on debut for this yard before falling at the last at Cartmell. If he is none the worse then he should emerge as the main danger as the betting is suggesting. Larusso won at Sedgefield and is bang there on the figures but needs to avoid mistakes.
