MY NAP RATTLED THE CROSSBAR YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT YARMOUTH ON SUNDAY!

Yarmouth 1.49 Lumacho (13/8)

Likeable filly who improved to make a winning handicap debut at Chepstow, travelling strongly into it before always doing enough; followed that up with a convincing win at Chelmsford; more to come so hat-trick beckons.

An opening mark of just 52 proved to be extremely lenient for the improving LUMACHO and she beat Destiny’s Spirit comfortably at Chepstow. She progressed again to follow up at Chelmsford after a 6lb rise and up by that amount again here she looks well placed to complete the hat-trick. Her main market rival Destiny’s Spirit is only 2lb higher so is technically 10lb better off but with Jumra likely to go off hard this could pan out even more favourably for the selection and I just can’t see how she won’t be finishing best again. She should confirm that form and looks one to keep on side for George Boughey. Baaraka has shown potential in three starts to date and could be best of the rest here.

Epsom 4.00 Dukeman (13/8)

Kingman colt who looked to need the experience when a promising third on debut at Thirsk, only beaten narrowly; improved to win well at Newcastle at the start of the month; definitely has more to come if called upon here.

I know it was just a three-horse race that DUKEMAN won at Newcastle last time but I thought he did that convincingly and he should improve again now he knows how to win. This looks a good opportunity and I’d have him even shorter than 13/8. Chantico ran well when third at Pontefract and is feared most but he might need a bit more experience and if the selection comes on as anticipated he might always be coming off second best. Nobel knew his job to make a winning debut at Kempton but hasn’t been seen for 9 months and he is going to need to be pretty smart to win this lacking match fitness. The rest all look up against it as the front 3 could all be really nice prospects in here.
