NAP – My best tip of the day
Newcastle 5.25 Indication Rocket (2/1)
Promising type who improved a ton on handicap debut to finish fourth at Redcar; travelled strongly that day and was denied a run before finishing well; goes up to a mile and a quarter; can make the breakthrough.
My NAP has finished second the last twice so I’m knocking on the door now. Hopefully it opens today as I head to Newcastle. INDICATION ROCKET was a big eye-catcher last time and with further improvement going up in trip he should take a lot of beating here. He looked to be moving well last time and was denied a run. Once he saw daylight he ran on strongly but the race was over by then. He will relish this extra trip and looks to have a great opportunity to make the breakthrough now. Zakram has surprisingly proved frustrating since winning at Lingfield. He only ran yesterday so it’s hard to know if he is going to turn up. If he doesn’t Feyha looks the danger as she is unexposed at least.

Hamilton 3.23 Indemnify (5/2)
Lope De Vega colt won won emphatically at Nottingham last month, as he was entitled to do; very good second to another improver at Salisbury latest; can kick on again and looks well placed to get back to winning ways.
This looks a good opportunity for INDEMNIFY to get back to winning ways. He shaped with plenty of promise when second to Persian Royal at Salisbury. He is only up 2lb from that and with more to come can salute the judge once more. The danger looks to be Marhaba The Champ who was a good second at Ripon coming wide but running on well. He goes handicapping now so with more to come could give the selection most to think about. Stunning Beauty was only fifth at Ascot and even an ease of 2lb isn’t enough for him to be of serious interest. Roudemental won at Redcar and wasn’t disgraced at Doncaster so could be best of the rest but his mark looks stiff enough.
