MY US NAP IS STILL CHASING A HAT-TRICK AND RUNS AT THISTLEDOWN ON TUESDAY!
Race 8 Thistledown 9.20 Candlelight Hours (6/5)
Improving filly who ran a cracker here last month finishing strongly from off the pace beaten narrowly into third; that a much stronger race than this so back down in grade should take all the beating here.
Back down in grade CANDLELIGHT HOURS is hard to look past at Thistledown on Tuesday night. She won her first 3 starts this season and has since performed creditably in defeat. That run last time was likely a career best as she only went down narrowly and that was a much deeper contest than this. She can still improve again and if she does she will have too much for this field. Maoilin looks to be the danger as she has some solid form in the book and has finished in front of and in behind the selection in the past. If she bounces back from that last run she could emerge as the danger. Ballroom Blitz was behind the selection last time but not beaten far so is another one to note in opposition.

Race 4 Belterra Park 7.02 Play Ball (11/8)
Tough sort who arrives here at the top of his game having won his last two over this trip at Thistledown; this tougher but proven at an even higher level than this so will be hard to beat if in similar form here.
The hat-trick likely beckons for the reliable PLAY BALL. He is up in grade but has proven form in the book at an even better level than this so that shouldn’t bother him too much. He will go forward and look to dictate and looks the most obvious solution to the puzzle. Midnight Warship hasn’t been seen since May and was out of form then. He does have some good form in the book though and if returning in good order would be a danger. He has won impressively fresh so my idea of the main danger. Willie Jones is unexposed after just the 6 starts and while he had no more to give when third last time that was still a good effort so likely best of the rest. Brink Point best of the rest but needs more again.
