MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 3 AT BELMONT AT THE BIG A ON THURSDAY NIGHT!
Race 3 Belmont At The Big A 7.02 Arctic Arrogance (4/5)
Promising colt who made a bright start winning on debut over 6f at Saratoga, nicely on top at the line; sure to improve from that initial experience and should relish the extra furlong so obvious chance here.
I’m looking forward to seeing ARCTIC ARROGANCE out again at Belmont on Thursday night. This colt looked good winning on debut and should improve again going up a furlong in trip here. He has a bright future and under likely aggressive tactics should have a good chance of making all. Donegal Surges beat Blame It On Daddy on debut and might be the danger to the favourite. He was beaten 5 and a half lengths at Saratoga last time though so will need to improve. Blame It On Daddy stepped forward to open his account last time but again needs more to handle the potential of the selection. General Banker has ground to make up with Donegal Surges so looks to be up against it as well.

Race 2 Thistledown 6.20 Ol’ L B (2/1)
Likeable type who has won 4 of his last 5 starts and was firmly on top again over C&D last time, powering away at the finish; hard to beat if turning up in the same form as this no tougher so the one to beat.
Great chance for OL’ L B to salute the judge again. He is having some season with 4 wins from his last 5 starts and he was impressive again beating some of these over track and trip last time. West Leonard was 7 and a half lengths back last time so has work to do to close that gap but may still be the one to finish second once more. Ohio Eagle was third in that race so is another one likely to be involved but again hard to see him closing that gap much let alone reversing the form. Beat The Dealer wasn’t beaten far last time having been given a bit to do. Might run well but still needs more to spring a surprise here. Tiz A Rush won on penultimate start but then blew out somewhat last time so a bit to prove.
