Race 7 Woodbine 9.16 Nikolaou (2/1)
Promising type who took his form up a few notches to sweep home from off the pace and win over 7f here at the start of the month; unexposed so open to further improvement going up in trip; obvious chance.
I think there is lots to like about the chances of NIKOLAOU at Woodbine tonight. He won in promising style here last time and going back up in trip should bring about further improvement given the way he hit the line the last day. Things seem to have clicked now and I think he is one to keep on side. The danger is likely Midway Mischief who ran well when beaten just a length and a half last time. If he builds on that he should give the selection something to think about. Taranto Titan made the breakthrough at the fifth attempt last time and is another colt in this field with a bright future so shouldn’t be underestimated but I think he’ll struggle to hold off the fav in the closing stages.

Race 7 Belmont At The Big A 9.09 Make Mischief (11/4)
Likeable filly who won head in chest over a mile at Saratoga last month, getting on the speed early and bossing them throughout; won 3 of her last 5 now; more to come now switched to turf so hard to beat.
Great chance for MAKE MISCHIEF to make it 4 wins from 6 starts this season. She goes on turf now but that could see her in an even better light and the way she won last time shows you the engine she has under the bonnet. She will likely be ridden forward and is going to take a fair bit of passing. Runaway Rumour only went down half a length last time and could be the danger if she improves again. Classic Lady ties in on that form but she did disappoint last time so she’ll need to bounce back and being a 7yo isn’t open to as much improvement as those mentioned above. Marvelous Maude impressed winning here and at Saratoga but saw that spree come to an end albeit in graded company last time.
