MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 2 AT FINGER LAKES ON MONDAY NIGHT!

Race 2 Finger Lakes 6.39 Hit By A Wave (best price 10/11)

Progressive type who was an impressive winner over 6f here back in August and then backed that up again over the same track and trip last month; can keep improving so hat-trick looks to be on the cards here.

Even at the time of writing HIT BY A WAVE is being heavily backed so he could end up going off quite a short price here. He has really impressed the last twice winning impressively. He is back half a furlong in trip but that shouldn’t inconvenience him and if in the same form should take a lot of stopping. The danger if there is one is likely Bowing Snowman who went down less than a length last month and that didn’t look a bad race. Where Ya Goin Owen was behind Dean Verdile last time but might be capable of reversing that form tonight. He still needs more to spring an upset here. Heyitsnricopalazo has been disappointing lately but some of his form would give him place claims.

Race 6 Fort Erie 8.25 A. A. Sweet Chilli (best price 6/5)

Likeable filly who ran well beaten just 3 lengths at Woodbine last month; she has only had a handful of starts so looks open to further improvement; will go hard off the front and could take plenty of catching.

This doesn’t look a deep race by any means so I think A. A. SWEET CHILLI has a great chance of taking it if finding some improvement. She has run well the last twice since suffering a heavy defeat up in grade and switched to dirt should have more to come. She will go off the front and if she gets dictating it might be race over. Speedy Fire is the danger as she continues to knock on the door and again ran well finishing in front of Linda Loves Lace when second last time. The drop back down to the minimum is unlikely to faze her but she will find it tough conceding first run to the favourite. Linda Loves Lace will be thereabouts but hard to see her improving to win this as pretty exposed.
