MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT BELMONT AT THE BIG A ON THURSDAY NIGHT!

Race 8 Belmont At The Big A 9.22 Mosienko (best price 2/1)

Progressive mare who has won her last 3 and was firmly in command winning by 4 lengths last month; hard to oppose if in the same form here and obvious chance she can justify favouritism; the one to beat.

The thriving MOSIENKO is hard to get away from at Belmont on Thursday night. She brought up a hat-trick of wins last month and if in similar form tonight should salute the judge once more. She likes to just track them through before finishing best and I can see that scenario panning out perfectly again here. Bank On Anna is still unexposed and has won 2 of her last 3 so looks the danger. She holds Secret Love on that most recent form as well. Patty H had won 4 from 5 before disappointing at Aqueduct. We haven’t seen her since but if bouncing back here she would also have to be respected as some of her best form does stack up quite well. The rest look to have enough to find.

Race 2 Woodbine 10.19 Silent Ghost (best price 5/2)

Improving filly who was only denied a hat-trick of wins by half a length over 6f here last month; can still progress again and these much calmer waters so obvious chance of getting her head back in front.

With the promise of more to come coupled with an easier race I’m expecting SILENT GHOST to get back to winning ways. She won well on penultimate start and is clearly trending the right way despite suffering defeat last time. Cefalo has also been running at a better level than this and 3 starts back got within a head of victory but did run poorly last time and that leaves her with a bit to find especially up against this favourite. D’s Soul has form that ties in closely with Cefalo and Orbaline and is unlikely to be far away again but likely needs more to win this and certainly doesn’t look to be improving any more being a 7yo now. Nice Company is quite a big price and might be value to place.
