MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 9 AT SANTA ANITA ON MONDAY NIGHT!
Race 9 Santa Anita 1.08 Thorne House (best price 7/4)
Improving fast and impressed again drawing off late at Del Mar last month; comes here chasing a hat-trick now and with further progress on the cards should take a lot of pegging back off the front end.
The progressive THORNE HOUSE looks hard to oppose at Santa Anita on Monday night. I know he is trying turf for the first time here having won 2 from 3 on dirt but he could be even better for it and he looks a nice prospect in the making. He will likely go off the front and if he gets dictating they might not see which way he goes here. Cowboy Charlie is also chasing a hat-trick but has had plenty more runs than the selection so while he is respected and looks the threat he might lack the potential of the favourite but we’ll see. Lil Nas went close on penultimate start in a tougher race than this but then completely blew out last time and comes here with a point to prove off the back of that.

Race 5 Belterra Park 7.35 Talk Radio (best price 2/1)
Likeable filly who had won 4 in a row before going down just a head on turf last month; still only a 4yo so open to further improvement and back on dirt here looks likely to take all the beating once more.
The five-timer might have been denied last time but I can see TALK RADIO getting firmly back on track at Belterra Park tonight. She could still be open to further improvement as well so if she does step forward she will definitely be saluting the judge once more. I expect her to get a good toe in here and hopefully she is finishing best of all. Memphis Cash Queen is probably the danger having won her last two. She had Bourbon Buns behind last time so should confirm that form and looks the one most likely to give the selection something to think about. Matt’s Honey was disappointing on return pulling up on turf last time and will need to leave that behind to get competitive in this race.
