NAP – My best tip of the day
Leicester 5.20 Lady Eros (best price 11/4)
War Front filly who ran a big race when runner-up on debut at Newbury and improved again to win at Wolverhampton when last seen; given time since and open to plenty of improvement; can follow up here.
I get the feeling Bling On The Music will be popular here following a gelding and wind operation but he only really has one good run to his name and he was poor when last seen so I’m happy to try and get him beat. I really like War Front filly LADY EROS for John and Thady Gosden. She ran a cracker when beaten just a length on debut and with that experience under her belt improved to win well at Wolverhampton last time. She has more to come and I’d have her clear favourite for this so 11/4 looks huge to me. Kingman filly Tairann could obviously be a nice filly but she’ll need to be pretty forward to win this at the first time of asking. I’ll keep an eye on the market but no money as of yet.

Newcastle 8.05 Al Ameen (best price 5/1)
Caught the eye without seriously threatening having been slowly away over C&D last month; given another helping hand by the handicapper and no surprise to see him finishing best of all; worth chancing.
Down to a mark of just 72 now AL AMEEN really should be making an impact here. He ran well without threatening after a slow start at Newcastle last month and given a bit more help by the handicapper and if sharper away from the stalls he should have leading claims here. Captain Vallo won this 12 months ago and is the obvious danger in this field. He is 5lb lower but does need to bounce back to form. Golden Duke won at Leicester in June but was poor at Beverley last time albeit slowly away. He’ll need to be a lot sharper here tackling tapeta for the first time. Idoapologise has won at this track and scored at Wolverhampton last time but he might struggle to back that up under a 5lb penalty.
