NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS AT THISTLEDOWN AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY!
Race 7 Thistledown 8.50 Lionistic (best price 6/5)
Progressive filly who really impressed blowing the opposition away over C&D back in June and showed a good attitude to follow up next time out; beaten twice since but in a much better race than this; can get back on track.
Back down to this level it is hard to look past LIONISTIC who is still open to further improvement. She has a good strike rate and I suspect there is still much more to come. She didn’t run badly trying turf for the first time latest and back on dirt over 6f should have all basis covered. Flatter Her Again was only beaten 3 lengths last time but that was at this level and she is going to need more to trouble the favourite. Boogie Boogee was second last time but was beaten 8 lengths and she’ll need to better that to have a squeak in here. The Devil’s Dream might emerge as the main danger as she was back in the winners enclosure last time and while this is tougher at least she remains unexposed.

Race 7 Philadelphia 8.37 Lord Uhtred (best price 15/8)
Improving with experience and ran well when second at Delaware Park last month; more to come for sure and if he gets o n the speed and is dictating he might not come back to them; good chance to breakthrough here.
This might not take a great deal of winning so LORD UHTRED does look a standout to me. He only missed narrowly on penultimate start and then backed that up with another solid second last time. This is easier and he really should be going one better now. Respirator was disappointing on debut but ran better when fourth last time having briefly threatened. He’ll need more but might still be the danger given this lacks strength in depth. Harley’s Charly was third last time but did finish quite tired and will need to improve to take a hand here. Likely needs more time and experience. Chief Forty weakened late last time and is another one that needs to strengthen up to figure here.
