MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT FINGER LAKES ON TUESDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Finger Lakes 8.35 Interstate (best price 11/8)

Ran on strongly to miss just half a length here earlier in the summer; not quite been in the same form since but tough enough ask last time and these are much calmer waters; expected to get firmly back on track now.

Back down in grade INTERSTATE really should be winning this. His best form this season would be good enough to salute the judge but he does need to bounce back from a below par effort last time. Hopefully a few of these push forward early and it is run at a good pace as I think the longer he can be smuggled into it the better he will finish. The danger may well come from Kinsaler who had been running well in defeat prior to blowing out last time but a lot like the selection he will find this easier and is expected to bounce back to form. At a huge price Sea Captain won on penultimate start at this level but did let backers down last time. If bouncing back would have sound claims of hitting the frame.

Race 8 Fort Erie 9.21 Gimbala (best price 2/1)

Likeable mare who impressed winning over 5f on a sloppy track here back in the summer and then backed that up impressively over C&D last month; stumbled out the stalls last time so can be forgiven; big chance.

Things obviously didn’t work out for GIMBALA last time where she stumbled out the stalls and lost all chance. Granted a better break here she could prove hard to catch. Her two wins prior to that blip were good efforts on the clock and I make her the one to beat. Pino In A Purse has knocked on the door the last twice and might be the main danger to the favourite. Shanghai Kimmy won 3 in a row before finishing third a place behind the latter last time. She has ground to make up to be a serious threat but certainly shouldn’t be underestimated. Dreaminofpassion was also in that race but beaten over 3 lengths and needs to get back to her best to have a chance but still unexposed.
