Race 6 Keeneland 8.40 Meister (best price 13/8)

Likeable type who arrives here chasing a hat-trick after showing a good attitude to get up last on penultimate start and then followed up impressively last time; open to further progress and should win again.

Given he is still unexposed I’m expecting MEISTER to bring up the hat-trick at Keeneland tonight. He is improving all the time judging by the way he despatched rivals last time so I’ll be surprised if he is beaten here. Hopefully they go a good clip as this could end up setting up perfectly with him closing late. Ethical Judgement won on penultimate start but then disappointed last time. If he bounces back he might be the one to give the selection most to think about. Cupid’s Claws wasn’t disgraced last time but did look a little vulnerable at the line so his hopes will be pinned on trying to get first run I suspect. Five Star General has been consistent but I think more is required to go and win this.

Race 6 Delaware Park 8.00 Spikezone (best price 2/1)

Promising sort who won head in chest at Philadelphia last month, drawing clear by over 8 lengths at the line; improving fast judging by that and with more to come looks well placed to go and follow up here.

The improving SPIKEZONE can record career win number 3 at Delaware Park tonight. He really impressed last time and given he looks on an upward trajectory I’ll be surprised if anything can live with him in this field. That visual impression last time was backed up by the clock and he is very much the most likely winner here for me. Little Vic looks a danger given he was pitched into a Grade 2 last time. He should make a race of it but may just end up falling short. A Dangerous Guy has plenty of experience to draw upon and only went down a length last time so is another one to consider in here. Radical Right hasn’t been running badly on turf but needs more coming back to dirt.
