NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT BELMONT AT THE BIG A ON FRIDAY NIGHT!
Race 6 Belmont At The Big A 8.16 Liquidity Provider (best price 1/1)
Promising filly who missed by just a head on debut at Saratoga and again ran a big race in defeat beaten 2 lengths into third up to this trip last time; can improve again so good chance here; worth keeping on side.
I’m keen to get the US NAP back firing tonight and I really like the chances of LIQUIDITY PROVIDER at Belmont. This filly is trending the right way and won’t need much more to take this maiden. She has shown clear promise and likely has a bright future. She will push forward and they might not see which way she goes. Lute Player was down the field behind the selection last time and has work to do to close that gap. Ultima Copa has run both her races on turf but has shown ability. If transferring that to dirt following a break she might emerge as the main danger to the favourite. Adam’s Angel was also behind the selection so will need to improve to land a blow here.
Race 7 Woodbine 9.36 Banff (best price 13/8)
Likeable sort who was back to winning ways doing it impressively over track and trip last month; beaten a head last time but did well to get as close as he did; more to come yet and likely very hard to beat here.
With 3 wins from just 6 starts BANFF is looking progressive now. That was another big run last time despite going down a head and with further improvement on the cards he should take a lot of stopping here. Giant Teddy is a threat but he will face early pace pressure from Uncle Joe and if they end up taking each other on that would be an ideal scenario. Silent Runner won on penultimate start but went down a length behind Bossy Holiday and Uncle Joe last time so has a bit of ground to make up. Full Screen won nicely on a synthetic surface last time beating Giant Teddy but needs more back on turf to land a telling blow here. Bossy Holiday is another to note but might just come up short.
