NAP – My best tip of the day
Redcar 3.40 Awaal (best price 7/4)
Lope De Vega colt who shaped with promise on debut and duly improved to win by a short head at Lingfield second time out; went down less than a length at Haydock on final start; can improve again so mark could be lenient.
I’ll be very surprised if AWAAL doesn’t prove better than a mark of 93. He showed a really good attitude for the game to win at Lingfield with the front pair clear and likely improved in defeat when second at Haydock. The winner won virtually on the bridle at York in August and the third Aeonian looks a decent yardstick. The fourth Al Mubhir impressed winning at Haydock recently so the form stacks up wherever you look. He can keep progressing with experience and this looks a good opportunity for him to make it 2 wins from 4 starts. Koy Koy is likely and he won at Newmarket back in July. Held since but was poorly placed last time and not beaten far so looks to be the biggest danger.

Improving filly who looked to relish the step back up to 7f staying on strongly to win at Yarmouth last time; 4lb rise looks lenient and with more to come looks well placed to follow up with Danny Muscutt getting the leg up.
Hard to look past GONE following that convincing win over this trip at Yarmouth last time. She loved the step back up to 7f and remains unexposed following just a 4lb rise. There isn’t a great deal of pace on so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if she went forward especially given the trainer. Poppy Carrew is still a maiden but she shaped well when fifth here over 6f last time. This extra furlong should help so she might improve enough to be the danger. Time Test filly Cantora is unexposed and might do better up in trip after a break but the betting should be informative to her chance. Techno Lady is lightly raced but has ground to make up with the selection following that recent third.
