Race 7 Keeneland 9.12 Key Of Life (best price 6/4)

Exciting filly who won impressively over track and trip last time and looks destined right for the top in time; this tougher again but she will keep improving and should have too much for these rivals; keep firmly on side.

I’m really looking forward to seeing KEY OF LIFE out again at Keeneland tonight. She was mightily impressive last time and with further improvement to come she should make it 3 wins from 4 starts tonight. She possesses a lovely turn of foot and I think however this is run she will prove too strong in the closing stages. Somebody’s Problem has a similar profile with 2 wins from 3 starts and impressed last time with how much she found off the bridle. She is definitely the danger and looks a filly to keep an eye on going forward but just bumping into one here in the shape of the favourite. Baby Got Backspin was a good second last time and is another one to note but hard to get away from the selection.

Race 6 Santa Anita 11.40 Smiling Princess (best price 9/2)

Progressive filly who really impressed drawing off impressively to win again at Los Alamitos last month; improving with experience and with the promise of more to come should be able to bring up the hat-trick.

The hat-trick seeking SMILING PRINCESS looks a great bet at Santa Anita on Friday night. I can’t believe bet365 are going 9/2 about her chances as she looks to be firmly on the upgrade to me. I know this is slightly harder than what she has been facing but she has really impressed the last twice and with further improvement on the cards she can make it 3 in a row here. Funkhouser improved to win easily at Del Mar last time and looks the main danger to the selection. Silver Lightening created a big impression bolting up on debut but then struggled up in grade last time. It’s Saul Right has more experience on side but has ground the make up with the latter and is likely up against it.
