NAP – My best tip of the day
Carlisle 3.05 Good Risk At All (best price 15/8)
Caught the eye winning impressively at Ascot at the start of the year, travelling strongly throughout and doing it with plenty in hand; big ask pitched into Grade 1 company at Aintree; retains potential and leading claims here.
My NAP won again yesterday despite a drift so the winning run goes on! I’m going to head to Carlisle on Sunday for my best bet and GOOD RISK AT ALL is taken to make a winning reappearance. He looked potentially smart the way he won at Ascot and so it was no huge surprise to see connections take a chance at the top level at Aintree. Things didn’t work out but he wasn’t disgraced in sixth and I think he can get back on track here. He has plenty of potential this season and may well prove a horse to keep on the right side of today and going forward. Navajo Pass failed to shine last season but he impressed on the Flat at Haydock and if transferring that back over timber will be the main danger.

Huntingdon 3.23 Fulgurix (best price 9/4)
Lightly raced sort who knocked on the door again at Sedgefield before improving to win at Hexham on final start last season, with the front pair miles clear; form franked since; likely take a lot of beating on his reappearance.
This might not take a great deal of winning so I think FULGURIX might be up to the task on return. He won nicely at Hexham when last seen and off a 7lb higher mark here with further improvement to come he should be able to follow up. The form has worked out quite well since so it is no surprise to see him trading as favourite. Monte Igueldo is the only other horse in the field arriving here in winning form having got his head in front at Worcester. He will need more over fences here though but still might be the danger. Getaman won at Kelso last month but was readily held in fifth last time and has a bit to prove off the back of that but does at least have race fitness on side against these.
