NAP – My best tip of the day
Southwell 3.25 Dame Ethel Smyth (best price 6/5)
Good looking sort with plenty of size and scope; went close at Yarmouth and that form well advertised since; failed to fire at Windsor last time but likely had excuses; can bounce back and should prove hard to beat.
My winning run for the NAP came to an end on Monday sadly but I’m looking to bounce back fast and DAME ETHEL SMYTH should get back on track at Southwell on Tuesday. She still possesses plenty of potential despite fluffing her lines at Windsor last time. The form of her Yarmouth second has worked out notably well since and I think she’ll resume her progress here. Infinitive was behind the selection in fifth at Yarmouth but did do some good late work. She likely has a bright future too so will be the danger but has her work cutout to try and close that gap let alone reverse the form. Ring Fenced bombed out at Kempton but did get back on track to some extent at Wolverhampton but still needs more.

Newcastle 6.15 Printemps (best price 2/1)
Promising filly who only missed a neck at Southwell last month and improved again to open her account at Newmarket last time, always travelling well; only up 2lb and can progress again so leading claims here.
Great chance for Shamardal filly PRINTEMPS to follow up. She impressed with how she went through the race at Newmarket and was nicely on top at the line. She is up just 2lb and with more to come can get the better of this field. Star Shield is a C&D winner and ran well when second to the improving Kanakam. Should go well again but likely find one or two too good once more. Broctune Red likes it here having won 6 times over track and trip and ran a big race at a double-figure price last time so might be the one to chase the selection home. Anif has won a few times here as well and shouldn’t be overlooked but needs to better recent performances. Perfect Swiss is on a good mark but a bit to prove.
