Wednesday’s Best Tips
NAP LANDED AGAIN YESTERDAY! That is 7 winners from my last 8 now. Racing on Wednesday from Chepstow, Musselburgh, Dundalk and Kempton. Daily Double pays 15/2!
NAP – My best tip of the day
Kempton 6.00 Naxos (best price 13/8)
Saxon Warrior colt who was slowly into stride on debut at Newcastle but made smooth headway before taking it up and staying on strongly to win by 3 lengths; extra furlong ideal and can make it 2-2 with lots more to come.
I was really impressed with the way NAXOS won on debut despite fluffing his lines somewhat at the start. He is a good looking son of Saxon Warrior and lengthened in the style of a nice horse. He is only going to improve from that initial effort and this step up to a mile for the first time should help him as well. I have him as one to keep on side. Cityscape colt Dumfries left his debut run behind to get within a neck of victory at Brighton last month. If he builds on that again then he looks the one most likely to give the selection something to think about. Of the debutants Tyndrum Gold is likely the most interesting. He is by Muhaarar but has already been gelded. Rogue Tornado also noted.
NB – My Next or second best tip of the day
MY NEXT BEST RUNS OVER JUMPS AT CHEPSTOW ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON!
Chepstow 2.22 Knowsley Road (best price 9/4)
Promising son of Flemensfirth who was an expensive purchase after finishing second in an Irish point; denied just half a length on debut in a bumper at Exeter; impressed making all at Chepstow; looks an exciting hurdling recruit.
I’m looking forward to seeing KNOWSLEY ROAD jump hurdles for the first time at Chepstow on Wednesday. This son of Flemensfirth has been well touted by the yard and he caught my eye making all in good style in a bumper at Chepstow back in March. This looks a good starting point and hopefully he can take this before eyeing up bigger targets down the line. Imperial Storm won a bumper at Perth by 10 lengths and was inevitably well backed on hurdles debut at Market Rasen where he finished second. He will do better and with experience on side looks the danger to the selection. Hurricane Highway is bred to be pretty useful as well so also deserves a check in the betting near the off.
