NAP – My best tip of the day
Chelmsford 6.30 Barenboim (best price 5/4)
Cut through the pack to win impressively at Newcastle last month, doing it with plenty to spare; steady gallop cost him at the same venue earlier in the week; hard to beat with a good pace virtually guaranteed here.
My NAP could only finish second yesterday so hopefully I can get it back on track at Chelmsford on Thursday. BARENBOIM is arguably unlucky not to be coming here chasing a hat-trick as he only missed a nose on Monday and the steady gallop really cost him. He was slowly into stride and held up last and just couldn’t reel in the winner in the closing stages. Rhubarb Bikini should make sure this is run at a good pace and that will help the selection. The danger is likely Bugle Major who remains a maiden but has finished runner-up the last twice and got close last time at Lingfield. Richard R H B is on a lengthy losing run but Mick Appleby can do well with these types so he is also respected.

Ludlow 3.14 Itso Fury (best price 5/4)
Promising type who ran well in defeat in bumpers but looked a different proposition bolting up by 14 lengths on hurdles debut at Warwick last time; sure to build on that and looks one to keep firmly on side.
The way ITSO FURY travelled through the race and then went clear at Warwick on hurdles debut was very impressive and a 7lb penalty is unlikely to stop him. He looks a lovely prospect in the making and should have too much for this small field again. Mahon Point impressed beating Dom Of Mary at Chepstow on debut over hurdles and is likely to have improved so looks the main danger. Snipe showed ability when second on hurdles debut at Hexham and is another to note if building on that. Idealdes Villerets goes hurdling now and will likely prove capable of better but this is quite a stiff ask first-time up. I definitely think this will be a race to watch back a few times as there could be some nice types.
