NAP – Best selection of the evening
MY US NAP WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND IS ON A HAT-TRICK NOW!
Race 7 Mahoning Valley 8.33 Cowchi (best price 4/5)
Made up a lot of ground late to miss by just a head at Thistledown when last seen; this easier if anything so should be hard to beat if turning up in similar form here; hopefully get a good pace to run down late.
The US NAP was back to winning ways yesterday so hopefully I can follow up on Tuesday night. I’m off to Mahoning Valley where COWCHI looks ready to win again. She only just failed to get up last time and has been in good form for a while now. This is winnable and probably slightly easier than that last race so there really shouldn’t be any excuses. Crimson Legion was behind the selection last time so has ground to make up but is at least unexposed so might have a squeak. Late Date arrives here in winning form after impressing last time but this definitely has more strength in depth so a place might be her best hope here. Wherethere’ssmoke also has enough ground to find with the fav.
NB – Second best selection of the day
MY US NEXT BEST WON LAST NIGHT AND RUNS IN RACE 8 AT PHILADELPHIA!
Race 8 Philadelphia 8.34 Uncle Ernie (best price 1/1)
Progressive sort who left his reappearance run on turf well behind to win impressively over track and trip last month; scope to keep improving further and this no tougher so should have all the answers again.
I think the fact connections decided to pitch UNCLE ERNIE into a Grade 3 on return shows what they think of him. He failed to fire but lacked a run and it was his debut on turf. Back on dirt last time he was very impressive and over the same C&D here he can follow up. This is actually slightly easier so no surprise to see him as a warm favourite for this. Nuclear Option bolted up by 8 lengths over C&D last time but this is way tougher so he’ll need more and I’m not sure he can improve again seeing as he is a 7yo now and is exposed. Five Dreams has won 3 of his last 4 but again at a lower level and will likely find this more demanding. Rob The Rich best of the rest but a bit to prove off that last run.
