MY US NAP WON AGAIN LAST NIGHT AND IS CHASING A FOUR-TIMER ON WEDNESDAY!

Race 7 Finger Lakes 8.09 Zircon (best price 5/4)

Progressive sort who has won 4 of his 6 starts including 2 of his last 3 and showed a good attitude under pressure to kick clear again over C&D last time; remains capable of better and so leading claims in this field.

My US NAP is flying Stateside right now as I look to land a FOUR-TIMER on Wednesday night. It is hard to look past ZIRCON at Finger Lakes and he should end up well backed. He has a great strike rate with 4 wins from 6 and is clearly on an upward trajectory right now. He holds a few of these on recent form and is hard to pick holes in. Victory Built is more exposed and has 2 lengths to make up with the favourite on that last run. Father Walsh impressed on penultimate start but was held at this level last time so is going to need to find more. Invaluable Will was also behind the selection last time and looked a tired horse. If he bounces back he could be the danger but enough to prove at present.

Race 6 Penn National 1.16 Moonchild (best price 3/1)

Likeable filly who did well to get her head in front at Philadelphia last month, prevailing by a neck at the line; hard to peg back if dictating off the front and with more to come should be able to follow up here.

I know it is a bit of a wait for the US NB tonight but MOONCHILD is a standout at Penn National in the early hours so I’ve had to make her the play. She has won 2 of her last 4 and if she pushes forward early here they might not see which way she goes. She can still improve again being just a 4yo and gets a confident vote. My Dixie Lass rallied well under pressure to finish third when last seen on dirt and backed that up in some ways when fourth on turf last time. Could be the main danger if progressing again and is fairly lightly raced too. Will Take Roses won well at a lower grade before finishing a close third last time and also enters calculations but she needs more if she is to come out on top.
