NAP – My best tip of the day
Newcastle 2.13 Lucky Lover Boy (best price 9/4)
Thriving on his racing right now making it 4 wins from his last 6 starts asserting in good style over C&D last week; mark unchanged here too so should take all the beating with an in-form Henry Brooke back in the saddle.
Trainer Oliver Greenall was interviewed after LUCKY LOVER BOY won over C&D last week and he said he has this horse in a really good place at the moment and he is certainly showing that on track having won 4 of his last 6 starts now. Given that was a Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle he escapes a penalty so racing off the same mark here (due to go up 7lb in the future) he should take a lot of stopping again. This is a better race but he is clearly thriving and a similar performance would likely see him win again. Lock Down Luke has won 2 of his last 3 and has showed good battling qualities so looks the biggest danger as the betting is suggesting. Jet Legs is unexposed and looks best of the rest.

Market Rasen 1.55 Bempton Cliffs (best price 3/1)
Shaped with promise on chase debut and improved to win impressively over C&D, jumping well and making all; followed up at Warwick; tough ask at Bangor and back on the up winning last month; more to offer.
With 3 wins from his last 4 starts over fences the likeable BEMPTON CLIFFS should prove hard to catch once more at Market Rasen on Thursday. He was well suited by this C&D back in March winning impressively and while he is up another 4lb from that Sedgefield win last month I see no reason why he won’t take plenty of catching again here. Heritier won easily over C&D on chase debut in March and while he went off the boil somewhat after he was back to winning ways at Kelso last month so if in that sort of form again looks the biggest danger. Check My Pulse finally got off the mark at Carlisle but this looks tougher and he isn’t certain to back that up. Coastguard Station should come on for this.
