NAP – My best tip of the day
Punchestown 2.05 State Man (best price 5/6)
Progressive hurdler who quickened up like a very smart horse to win the County at the Cheltenham Festival and then backed that up at Punchestown; lots more to come yet and can make a winning return here.
Willie Mullins has made the Morgiana his own winning 10 of the last 11 renewals and he has an extremely good chance of winning it again with the improving STATE MAN. He actually saddles 3 of the 5 runners and has the favourite in the shape of the selection. This horse won the County really impressively and improved again to follow up at Punchestown. He has more to come and looks the one they all have to beat. Sharjah won this for the second time last year and is the main danger to the selection. He has won fresh so the absence shouldn’t be too concerning and he will run his race. Teahupoo has plenty of ability but things didn’t go to plan in the Champion Hurdle or at Punchestown.

Uttoxeter 1.23 Bear Ghylls (best price 7/4)
Won his first four starts under Rules including 3 over hurdles and looked a horse going places; far from disgraced in the Ballymore and shaped well on chase debut at Carlisle last month; plenty more to come.
I thought there was enough promise from the reappearance and chase debut of BEAR GHYLLS to make him of strong interest here. He has a big engine as he showed winning 3 times over hurdles and promises to make an even better chaser in time. He should strip fitter from Carlisle and looks the most likely winner here. Super Survivor represents an in-form stable of Jamie Snowden and could be the danger if taking to this discipline. He might do better for the experience but definitely one to keep an eye on going forward. Serious Charges is best forgiven that final outing at Aintree and is another one that could go well tackling the larger obstacles for the first time. The rest have plenty on their plate.
