World Cup – Senegal v Netherlands Preview

Senegal were dealt a cruel blow before the tournament had even started with Sadio Mane being ruled out due to a fibula injury. He was crucial in them qualifying for the tournament scoring two winning penalties against Egypt and will undoubtedly be a big miss. They still have Ismaila Sarr and Famara Diedhiou leading the line though and should still create chances.

Netherlands arrive in terrific form under Louis van Gaal having stretched their unbeaten run to 14 with a 1-0 victory over Belgium when last seen. They can on occasions prove vulnerable at the back as shown against Wales and I feel this could be more open than the betting is suggesting especially if they score early.
