Strong traveller who won impressively over hurdles at Newcastle back in April; lost his action when pulling up at Perth next time but very much back on track when runner-up on return; more to come now sent chasing.
My NAP landed again yesterday so I’m looking to land a FIVE-TIMER on Tuesday. WARRIORS STORY catches the eye heading over fences at Sedgefield. He is a big horse who often travels strongly so I can see him taking well to this discipline. He shaped well on return when runner-up in a race that has produced four winners since and looks the one to side with here. Rocco Storm bolted up at Hexham and then followed up over C&D last time so is definitely the danger but a further 8lb is going to ask plenty more of him here and this seems a better race again. Tom Creen has changed yards again and at least comes here with confidence high after winning a point but still needs to find more.

Southwell 1.05 Matchmaking (best price 15/8)
Likeable type who caught the eye going down just a length on chase debut at Kelso last month, rallying well under pressure; jumping lacked fluency at Newcastle but still finished third; should improve so worth chancing.
The money keeps coming for MATCHMAKING and if he jumps more fluently here I think he’ll open his account over fences. He has shaped promisingly the last twice and won’t need to find much more to win a race like this. This test should prove ideal and I’m surprised he isn’t even shorter in the betting. Abington Park had a wind op after finishing second at Hexham but failed to fire when down the field at Hereford. He could run well but I think on the balance of his form definitely needs more on recent evidence. Colemanstown Lad is well bred and going up in trip with cheekpieces on now could emerge as greater threat to the favourite. The rest all look to be up against it.
