MY US NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT AQUEDUCT ON FRIDAY NIGHT!

Race 6 Aqueduct 7.44 Temple City Terror (best price 6/4)

Tough mare who looked back to somewhere near her best winning at this level at Keeneland last month, showing a good attitude to get on top; hard to oppose if in the same form tonight so worth chancing.

This should be a good race but I’m keen to side with TEMPLE CITY TERROR after that win in the Dowager at Keeneland last month. She comes here with confidence high and is well placed to follow up. Rocky Sky opened her account Stateside last time and might be the danger but she will likely have to improve again. Kalifornia Queen didn’t run badly on reappearance last time and if she builds on that she should go well for a long way but this does look more competitive so I think she might need a career best to come out on top. Capital Structure is held by Rocky Sky on that last run so has work to do to reverse that let alone beat the selection. Tic Tic Tic Boom wasn’t beaten far last time either.

Race 6 Golden Gate Fields 11.15 Big Flame (best price 5/2)

Likeable type who improved a chunk on recent starts to get his head in front impressively here last time, 3 lengths clear at the line; this no tougher so if in the same form will take all the beating; leading claims.

There was lots to like about the way BIG FLAME went on this surface last time winning convincingly and if building on that will take a lot of beating again tonight. He is still just a 4yo so should be open to further improvement and looks the most likely winner. I thought he’d be shorter than 5/2 so attractively priced as well. Vantage Point was third behind the selection last time and might emerge as the danger again. Holy Ghost was a good third on turf last time and has won a few times on this surface so may well fare best of the rest. Buenisimo won last time but has struggled to back up wins in the past so that would have to be concerning. Governor’s Party has ground to make up with the favourite.
